This weekly feature article outlines our picks for this weeks Dream Team. We use data and statistics to calculate the best possible team for the upcoming gameweek which is also affordable within the FPL £100m budget.

Gameweek 23 Dream Team

Neil Etheridge (CAR) (£4.6m) (Total Points – 99) (Saves – 82)
Only Liverpool’s Alisson has more points than him in the Goalkeeper ranks and his trip to Newcastle should provide him with a good chance of save points and a possible clean sheet.

Luke Shaw (MUN) (£5m)
Shaw has a great chance of another clean sheet as he faces Brighton at home.

DeAndre Yedlin (NEW) (£4.5m)
Yedlin faces Cardiff with these 2 sides both fancying their chances of clean sheets, which is why we also opted for Etheridge in goal.

Jan Bednarek (SOU) (£3.9m)
Bednarek was chose due to his excellent value at just £3.9m enabling us to invest heavy in midfield and up front this week.

Mohamed Salah (LIV) (£13.4m) (Total Points – 162)
Salahs fixture against Crystal Palace at home cannot be underestimated, the eagles are known to be solid at home but Salah and Liverpools form could really hit in this fixture.

Felipe Anderson (WHU) (£7.3m) (Total Points – 108)
Anderson has the potential to deliver against a Bouremouth defence that has been giving goals recently. In what should be an open game expect the winger to be involved.

Paul Pogba (MUN) (£8.6m) (Total Points – 105)
The in-form Paul Pogba has seen his value rise £0.6m since he returned to the team thanks to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He has 54 points from those 5 games and this looks like another fixture where he could steal the show.

Bernardo Silva (MCI) (£7.6m) (Total Points – 98)
Champions Man City travel to bottom of the league, and manager-less Huddersfield in what is expected to be a one-sided affair. Silva enables us to get Man City cover in Midfield, he has featured in all games when available this season and I would expect that to continue this weekend.

Bamidele Alli (TOT) (£8.9m) (Total Points – 64)
With the absence of Son and the injury of Kane, Tottenham need someone to step up on their trip to Fulham. History shows Dele Alli is the man to usually do that.

Sergio Agüero (MCI) (£11.2m) (Total Points – 99)
After sitting out most of the win against Wolves, I expect Aguero to return to the line-up against Huddersfield despite Gabriel Jesus (£10.1m) stealing the limelight in that Wolves fixture. Aguero will be hungry in this game following sitting out the last one.

Marcus Rashford (MUN) (£7.5m) (Total Points – 86)
Another who has benefitted from the new management at Manchester United. Rashford is the in-form forward in FPL and has scored in his last 4 out of 5 games.
